Preschoolers at The Goddard School located in Durham, NC, recently had an out-of-this-world experience – they had a chance to talk to a female astronaut.
Join us for Astronaut Week Oct. 14-19, 2019 to celebrate the space pioneers who have risked everything and are making sacrifices to explore the cosmos and further our knowledge of the universe.Flown astronaut/cosmonaut delegates from all over the world will gather at Space Center Houston for the Association of Space Explorers (ASE) XXXII Planetary Congress to honor the vast accomplishments made in space over the last five decades, to share with the public the past and present experiences in space, and to shine a light on what’s to come. This will be the largest gathering of astronauts ever.Be part of the mission and hear from a variety of astronauts in our public presentations and activities below. All presentations and activities are included in general admission, excluding Lunch with an Astronaut and the Thought Leader Series.

Who: Panel of NASA Johnson Space Center airmen as well as General Stephen W. “Seve” Wilson who is Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, Arlington, Va. As Vice Chief, Wilson presides over the Air Staff and serves as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Requirements Oversight Council and Deputy Advisory Working Group. He assists the Chief of Staff with organizing, training, and equipping of 685,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas.
